CLUB NOTES MON 5TH JAN 2015   26/05/2015

This week's lotto numbers were 3,6,8,12 Five match three's Sandra Fahy x2 Lines ,Paul Greaney, Serene Healy and Miko Keane. Next week's jackpot is heading towards €7000 and draw takes Place in Red Gap at 9pm on Sunday night next. Thanks to all who continue to support our lotto each week .Tickets for the lotto are available from usual outlets or from Committee members. We would like to thanks all those who came out to support our club night out last Saturday night in the Red Gap. It was great to see such a turnout to kick start off 2015. The night started off with the 2004 County Final between Killererin and Salthill Knocknacarra which brought back some good memories for the past players and all that were involved with the club at that time.This was followed by the presentations. Club Person of the year went to Ollie Forde which was presented by Marie Fahy. Fr Oliver Hughes Hall of Fame award went to Michael Ryder which was presented by John Hughes. Player of the year went to Shane Hughes presented by Billy Joyce and Young Player of the year went to Kevin Murphy which was presented by Tod Nolan. Minor Medals were presented to players by Padraic Joyce who was also thanked for making it possible to have the Frank Fox Cup present on the night. Congrats to all those who received awards and medals.Thanks to the Red Gap for their Hospitality , Caroline and Philip Devane for the Hamper and to all the people and businesses that sponsored spot prizes on the night, Aiden Maloney (Delicious Catering) for the food ,Caroline and Cathal for the Music ,Shane Donnellan for the big screen set up,Connacht Tribune for providing us with the 2004 Display of photos from their archives John Hynes for the converting of the video to DVD. Chairperson Marie Fahy thanked Mike and Ann Treacy (Pamlube) for taking up the sponsorship for 2015 again and she also wished Pat Devane and Declan McGrath good health and speedy recoveries on their recent illnesses. The stage then was handed over to Aiden Tierney who provided us with some good comedian fun and witty entertainment.Thanks again Aiden!!. At the end of the presentations there was a one minute silence for Pat Egan (former chairman of the Galway County board) as a mark of respect. The club will have mass this Sat night 10th Jan at 8pm in the church as a mass to remember all the deceased members of our Club followed by refreshments in the Red Gap.
